The Random Little Things
Little things that are easy to forget.
You’ll need to give the Hospital your ID and Insurance when you check in, so make sure it’s somewhere easily accessible.
Insurance Card and ID
Labor can take a long time and the outlets can be far from your bed, so a long charger is very helpful. This is the 10ft one I used.
Extra Long Charging Cord
This is definitely something I did not have with and wish I did. Hospital air is DRY and you’re mouth breathing a lot during labor so yeah I recommend you don’t forget a chapstick.
Chapstick
Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothbrush, toothpaste, skincare, hairbrush, deodorant, and a bag to put them all in. Trust you’re not going to want to forget these: showering and taking care of yourself after laboring is a must!
Toiletries!
Hydration is soooooo important while laboring and after! You’re definitely going to want something you can drink from easy (preferably with a straw) and refill easily.
Water Bottle or Cup
I definitely enjoyed having my own cozy blanket from home! I didn’t bring my own pillow with me, but I definitely wish I had - the hospital ones weren’t the best.

Definitely optional, but I felt more comfortable in my full coverage delivery gown than the hospital gown. The Frida mom one worked great, and it has snaps up top for breast feeding.
