This restaurant is the most historic BBQ spot in the city. It's a must try if you are ever visiting. It's located in an alley in downtown Memphis. Rendezvous is best known for their dry rub ribs so if you are ever there try at least eating it without the sauce to take in that good bold flavor. They also ship too so if you aren't local you can still try it.

Central BBQ is one of the most popular spots in the city. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE SMOKED WINGS!!! I love all the flavors, but the Jerked wings are my favorite item on the menu.

I love One & Only BBQ! They don't skimp you on portions. Sometimes I can get two sandwiches off of one. I feel like this is a hidden gem that's not talked about enough. I usually order the pulled pork or brisket.

If you want a quick fast food bbq option this is the best spot. There are a ton of locations in the city. Their jumbo pulled pork sandwiches are very big and chopped great. Hands down they have the best baked beans side. Word of caution their hot bbq sauce is very spicy. It's good but it carries a lot of heat. Also if you feel adventurous I recommend trying their pulled chicken sandwich with their white bbq sauce.

Corky's is best known for their ribs. The food tastes great plus their bbq sauce has a rich bold flavor. Their menu has a variety of options so when I visit I often order the catfish or their bbq chicken quesadilla. I also love the caramel cake.

This bbq spot is great for family. Meats are slow cooked, tender and juicy. The sides are great tool. It's worth the drive.
