Here is a list of some of my favorite things to do on the Western Slope. These are midly-outdoor focused, but then again it is Colorado.

You don't have to hike to see these views! Take Rim Rock Drive through the whole National Park, check out overlooks, or take a quick hike if you're up for it. This is such a fun journey, I recommend to everyone that visits.
Colorado National Monument
Stunning in every season! Flowers in the Spring, Lakes that you can recreate on in the Summer, Fall colors glow, and snow sports in the Winter.
Grand Mesa in Colorado
This was my go to study-spot. Owned locally, the atmosphere is warm.
Kiln Coffee Bar
They make the funkiest pizza's out there, but they are all so good! Highly recommend, and they have vegan options.
Pablo's Pizza
Lovely is the only word to describe this winery. Highly reccomend, it has great views and delicious wines.
Two Rivers Winery
It can be a little noisy during game-times, but the food is super yummy, and there are great cocktails.
Pour Fellows
The BEST in Grand Junction. I highly recommend the sweet and spicy chicken sandwich, but the mac n cheese is also a great option. Brews beer on site, hubby loves it, I love it - great for girls night, date night, etc.
The Rockslide Brew Pub
Connected Lakes is a favorite of mine, but if you need rentals/guides GJ Adventures are a great option. Booked with them for a friend coming in a few months ago and it was a BLAST. Super kind, helpful and fun.
Paddleboarding in GJ
All of the state parks are beautiful, I just love Connected Lakes. This is my paddleboard go-to, but you could also just walk around with pups.

Kannah Creek Brewing Company
This is such a fun girls day - they have a butterfly house which was so fun to experience with my nieces. Highly recommend - pair it with a winery trip after and it's a blast.
Western Colorado Botanical Gardens
While frustrating… golf is incredibly fun especially with the VIEWS! I mean it's stunning.
Golfing in Grand Junction
The BEST coffee and the NICEST staff! I love stopping by when I'm on that side of town, they are amazing!
Morning Mission Coffee | Fruita CO
A walk downtown is so wholesome. It gives Gilmore Girls in the fall/winter and is such a fun, simple time in spring/summer.
