So many people are getting into streaming nowadays, and I know it can be difficult to know where to start when there's so much out there. So, here's a list of what I used to kick everything off! I stream primarily on Twitch, however, everything on this list can be used for streaming elsewhere :)

Software
Streamlabs was my starting point for learning how to stream. It is quite straightforward to understand and there's a lot to utilise on the app!
Streamlabs
I swapped from Streamlabs to OBS Studio once I'd gotten more confident with streaming (OBS can be very overwhelming at first, but it's amazing once you get your head around it!), there's plenty of videos online to learn the software.
OBS Studio
I use a PNGtuber a lot of the time when streaming for comfortability purposes (being on camera all the time can become quite draining) - this is what I've used to operate my little model! Again, there's many videos online to get to know the software ...

I use Canva to create things for social media posts, as well as my first overlays as I wanted to learn how to do things for myself!

DaVinci Resolve is my go-to app for editing video content, whether that's cutting down a VOD (Video-on-Demand), or creating clips for social media platforms.

Hardware
I use to use my built-in laptop mic when I first started out, but it used to carry through a static-like noise so I decided to upgrade to something a little better but still budget-friendly.

I also started streaming with my laptop camera (which I'll admit wasn't amazing, but it did the job until I made a PNG model), but since upgrading to a pc, I got a little webcam for the odd ‘cam-on’ stream! The quality is pretty good considering it's...
Brio 100 Full HD Webcam - Logitech
This one's a little pricey, but I use the Elgato Neo to capture gameplay and audio from my consoles to my stream! There's a few capture cards out there where you need to buy a separate device to capture audio, but this does everything in one :)

If you know me, you're well aware that I always have my headphones to hand! Although these aren't your typical gaming headphones, they have great sound quality, bass boost for music, and even noise cancelling - they're great when you want to immerse ...

Etsy is a great place to find ready-made stream overlays and other assets to begin with!

VGen is another great marketplace for stream assets, models, and much more - especially if you're looking for something personalised! I use VGen as an Illustrator to take commissions, but I've also commissed artists on here, as well as order pre-made assets for my stream overlays.

I have made some emotes myself to use on Twitch, but this can be quite time-consuming…a new emote-creation tool was released recently and this has made things 10x easier! I now have a little set of emotes for my stream and these can always be edited ...
