I have been a makeup and skincare wearer for nearly 30 years. Over time, my wants and needs have changed. This list focuses on my current needs, as a 40-something mother who takes about 10-15 minutes to apply her daily makeup.

Here are a collection of fragrances (perfumes and body sprays) that I’ve worn and loved: past and present! These are just some items I’ve incorporated into my every day life that have helped me as I navigate my sporty 40s. 😜 The turn of the decade was humbling, with weight gain and fatigue being my biggest hurdles. As of April 2026, I’m 62 pounds down with about 18 to go. If you’re on a similar journey, I hope that one or several of these items are also helpful to you!

This list provides names of restaurants, shops and accommodations that are dog-friendly in the Indianapolis area. My primary focus will be in the Indy, Carmel, Fishers, Westfield and Noblesville area. I’ll continue to add recs to the list as I come across more! :)

I live in Indiana now, but I grew up in CT and visit a few times a year to see family again. This list is for anyone looking for some cool spots in the Constitution State! The focus will primarily be in New Haven County, as this is where I lived. ☺️
