Ok, it's been about three years since I started trying to find something to use on my temples where my hair is thinning. I first tried Rogaine and it was thin and watery and I just didn't like it. I stuck with it for three months, but didn't really feel like it was doing anything. So, I went down the rabbit hole of more natural things to try. A friend told me she uses Batana oil, so I gave it a shot. I went through a few brands before I found this one. I like the thickness of this, the smell is nice, and it really moisturizes my scalp and hair. So, I stuck with it. I use it 3, 4, or 5 times a week - depending on my schedule. I slather it on in the morning on days when I am not leaving the house. I leave it on my hair until I shower. It has really worked! My temples had the little baby hair new growth for quite a while, but now the hair is pretty nicely filled back in. Highly recommend this product!!!!
Raw Batana Oil for Hair Growth by Dr. Sebi
I just found this a few months ago and I love it. I didn't realize it is a darn leave in! I had been using it like the batana oil (see my other listing), but you can rub this into your problem areas and it gets in there without leaving your head an oily mess. I have just finished my first bottle and I have to say I like this product! It has a very slight tingle as you massage it in that is nice. The aroma is lovely. I can put it on before bed and it doesn't get my pillow all greasy. It's only been a month since I have been using it, but I see my existing hair is more moisturized and seems a little stronger. I think I can see more new growth at my temples, so I am going to keep on using this one and let it work it's magic. Recommend!

Shocker. CER-100 again. This one is some kind of miracle in a bottle. I use this when I want to look like I just came out of the salon and got a pro blow out. When I get out of the shower, I towel dry and immediately apply this to my hair. I leave it in while I do my lotion, prep my face, etc. Then rinse it out in the sink. Dry/style as usual. I only discovered CER-100 a few months ago by chance - I was looking for “hair food” because my hair is thinning and suddenly looking really damaged (I have been dying my hair for years, but just recently my hair has decided to react poorly to the sa... So, in my search for products to get my hair more healthy, I stumbled upon this. I tried one of their products and was really impressed. So, down the CER-100 rabbit hole I went. This stuff is friggin fantastic. I add a dime sized drop in with the leave in conditioner that I use. It is one of those products you apply and it works on the spot. I work from home, so I really only use it when I am going out of the house. It creates a strength and shine to my hair that is friggin lovely!

Yup, another CER-100 product. I told ya, I go down rabbit holes…. So, tried this due to my thinning hair and the fact that their other products have been so awesome. This one does not disappoint. I am not too keen on oils because they weigh your hair down and you end up like looking like you haven't washed your hair in a week. Not this! It has a very mild scent that is scrumptious. I use it on the ends, the base of the back of my head, and underneath my hair. It gives it a lovely smell and tames the broken frizz that I get. That being said, I have only been using it for about a month - so I can't report on the hair growth just yet. Stay tuned!

911!!! Remember that little packet of super duper conditioner they give you in box hair dye? I was always baffled that you can't buy that in a bottle. You can! THIS! I can't tell you how much my hair has changed after I started using this. I slather it on after I color and I use it from time to time after just to give my hair a gulp of moisture. THIS! THIS! THIS!

I recently discovered Rapunzel. I just started using it last month. I have used it maybe 3 times and I see a real difference in the moisture in my hair. I feel like it isn't breaking as much and it's definitely softer than before. The scent of this one is really nice too. I don't like a really strong scent, so this one is great for me because it is just a lovely hue (I think I smell some lavender in it which is soothing). I do feel like it is strengthening my hair, so I am going to keep at it. Also, you get a ton of product in this large tub so the value for the money is also a plus!
Lola From Rio Rapunzel Hair Growth Mask 15.87oz
Use this sparingly. You don't need much. I flip my hair upside down and very lightly spray as I move my head from side to side. This will cut your dry time in half and it protects against the damage caused by heat and sun. Honestly, I love it for the quick dry time - I can't attest to whether it protects against UV rays (just being honest here). Ion also makes a spray very similar to this that is only for quick dry (I used it before and it is genius), but I switched to this one because hey - why not try to protect my hair against sun damage as well :P

I feel like someone's grandma even posting this. But, it works in a pinch! If you have read any of my other posts, I am dealing with not only thinning hair at my temples, I am fully grey when I don't dye my hair (I dye it black, so you can imagine what I go through when my roots start to show). I keep this in my arsenal for those times in between dyes when a little bit of grey starts to show, causing my temples to look more sparse than they actually are. Just be careful with this because it goes on nicely and if you over do it - you will look like you have painted some kind of helmet-cap onto your hairline! HA!
Clairol Root Touch-Up Concealing Powder Black
So, when I put the product on my hair I need to pull it back. Everything I have read says that satin and silk are the least likely to break your hair. So, I tried a few and many of them had the weakest band underneath the silk. Not these. They hold like your typical hair band, but are wrapped in silk. They aren't those huge 80's style scrunchie (yay) and the silk stays put. I have bought a few packs of these, but I am still using the first pack because they are still perfect. Highly recommend!

In my quest to help my hair, I got this pillow case. It is soft, but not slippery. I really hated my grandma's silk pillow cases because I just slid off the pillow. This is nice and soft, easy on my hair, and I don't slide off my pillow. I really like this one!

This one is a little “off the beaten path”… I've been using it a month and I am starting to see some wispies pop up, so there is new growth. Keep in mind that I am also using some product, but I really think this gets the product into my scalp more. There is a tingle that I like when I roll it over my scalp.
Side note: I bought something very similar to this for my face and hated it. Just an FYI - no on the face roller, yes on the hair roller from me!
