I can't eat dairy and am always on the lookout for great dairy-free or vegan ice creams and gelatos. The good news is there are lots of options in Los Angeles. I made a list!
Salt and Straw has a number of locations in Los Angeles and they always have several great vegan flavors to choose from. One of favs!
Craft Made, Curiously Delicious Ice Cream | Salt & Straw
I discovered this place not long ago. It is located inside a Gelson's grocery store in Sherman Oaks just off Ventura. They have almond and coconut-based ice creams and make killer shakes.
Humphrey Yogart
B&J makes a great dairy free ice cream. You can find them in just about any major supermarket in LA (Ralph's usually has a good selection) and of course at the scoop shops. A staple for me.
Ben and Jerry's Non-Dairy Pints
I love Magpies! Take home a whole cookies and cream pie. Thank me later. Most of their flavors are vegan or dairy free. They have several locations in LA.

Gracias Madre is my favorite vegan restaurant in LA. Amazing! Get a scoop of their oat milk-based vegan vanilla with a churro! OMG.

Van Leeuwen Ice Cream
McConnel's has several dairy-free options. It is not at the top of my list. However, it was founded in Santa Barbara and has several LA locations including a shop on the promenade in Santa Monica. You might like it more than I do!

A local favorite with ice cream made in Culver City. Several vegan flavors including a yummy cookies and cream.
