The Artful Edit

As an aspiring minimalist who's just a few months from 40, I've spent literal decades curating and culling down my beauty, skincare, and makeup routine to only my favorite essentials. I've perfected the “I'll be ready in 5-minutes!” routine, and -YES!- I actually CAN stick to that timeline. Here are my recs so you don't have to do all the research, digging, trial and error that I did.

From family heirlooms and heritage pieces to fun contemporary finds, these are all my favorites that have emerged while living a life of luxury in Los Angeles (and across the globe)!

As a 3rd generation LA native currently living in NELA, these are all my favorite spots! On this list you'll find restaurant, shop, and service recs in Pasadena, Los Angeles, Northeast LA, NELA, Eagle Rock, Highland Park, Frogtown, Atwater Village, Los Feliz, and beyond!

A couple years ago, I started my weight loss journey with two intentions: get to my goal weight and KEEP IT OFF. I grew up seeing several family members yo-yo with their weight, and I knew that I did NOT want to do that. This was not going to be a crash diet, this was going to be a total lifestyle shift. And it started with my relationship to food. What kinds, what portion sizes, and when! Here's what I eat now:

My dog Kugel is a 14.5 lb pugapoo (pug/poodle!) mix. She was a stray that we found all alone, lost and scared in our LA highlands neighborhood—no collar, no chip, nobody out searching for her. With all the cars and coyotes in our area, she was at serious risk of death or injury out on the streets, so we immediately took her in. Before we knew it, she was the most spoiled member of our family!
