Once all of the foils are applied, I would put on a shower cap to hold everything in place for blow drying. You can also use a plastic shopping bag and secure it with a sectioning hair clip.

You will need something to protect your working surface and even your floor. If you don't want to buy salon towles, you can use old towels, newspapers, paper toweles, or even a plastic table cloth from the dollar store.

Sometimes I used silicone hair ties instead of sectioning clips, or in addition to. These are better than traditional fabric in case you get bleach on them. They will clean easily. This is totally optional.
