This book had so many twists and turns. I thought I was predicting what would occur, and I did at times, but the ending blew me away.
The Teacher by Frieda McFadden
Â
A really well written book. Even though video games arenât my thing, the actual plot and story line kept me entertained. The ending wasnât what I expected, and I loved that it wasnât predictable!
Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin
Â
Wow. Incredible story about a boy and his mother and what they need to do to survive.
American Dirt by Jeanine Cummins
Â
I really enjoyed this book! It wasnât really a thriller, as has been described elsewhere, but more of a cat and mouse chase story. A conwoman, raised by her conwoman mother, wants to get married and live a normal life. She chooses the perfect rich, w...
Stone Cold Fox by Rachel Koller Croft
Â
I loved this book! Thereâs so much going on that it kept me hooked. As one part of the story was figured out, another twist was thrown at the reader. A murder mystery involving police, drugs, sisters, and motherhood. It was a really great read!
Long Bright River by Liz Moore

A whimsical story of wishes and dreams. A modern day take on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, with a woman who visits Clock Island to compete and win $$ that would make her dreams come true. In the end, itâs all about wishing and hoping.

A beautiful love story.
Archer's Voice by Mia Sheridan

A really amazing, well written book, about WWII and womenâs involvement. The story was so real, it gave me true insight into what women had to endure to be part of the resistance movement. I liked how the two stories ran parallel but then intertwined...
The Alice Network by Kate Quinn

A story about finding true, unrequited love and what one will do to protect their image while being in love. Such insight into what life was like in prior generations. Engaging, thoughtful, and entertaining.
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Reid
Â
The characters are so real and the emotions within the book are so raw. It sucks you in and the storyline is engaging. I had to keep reminding myself it was fiction.

Fast read, with some good twists and turns.
Never Lie by Frieda McFadden
Â
Two stories intertwined. I enjoyed both stories very much, and the historical fiction component that went back to the days of the Egypt Revolution. I also enjoyed the present day story line and really became invested in the characters.
Frieda again writes an amazing, twisty thriller! I was convinced I had figured out all that was coming, but nope! The protagonist is basic, not super well developed as a character but she doesnât need to be for this story. I think it was purposeful, ...
The Boyfriend by Frieda McFadden
Â
Sophie is raw and real in this autobiographical fictional story about her journey with glioblastoma.
The book was a bit hard to follow with so many characters, but the underlying story was well written. Itâs so important that people continue to read books about the Holocaust so that it remains fresh and history doesnât repeat itself. The story reall...
We Were the Lucky Ones by Georgia Hunter
Â
An easy read, and a great thriller. The story seemed a little unrealistic at times, but it did keep my interest and was not fully predictable.
First Lie Wins by Ashley Elston
Â
This book brought me back to memories of what it was like to be a teenager in the summer. I enjoyed getting to know the characters, and although there were some dark moments in the story, it felt less like a crime fiction novel and more like a coming...
Before We Were Innocent by Ella Berman
Â
A thoughtful story about twins who have chosen to live different life identities. A thought provoking story of what itâs like to live life based on your race.
I enjoyed this book a lot. The characters are very likable, and even though there were multiple plot lines occurring as there were two stories 80 years apart, the stories intertwined nicely. The author kept my interest, and the ending was not as I pr...
The book was wonderfully written and an easy read. The story flowed nicely and I really liked how the characters grabbed onto my heart and emotions.

Â
An easy to read thriller. I had lots of predictions but none ended up being true. I enjoyed it and it had my heart racing at times!
Everyone Here Is Lying by Shari Lapena
Â
Overall, I enjoyed reading this book. It was an easy read. Itâs a groundhogs day theme, where the protagonist relives the same day over and over, and it got a bit slow reading the same details of the same day. However, the ending really was heart war...
Maybe Next Time by Cesca Major
Â
I enjoyed the multigenerational aspect of this book, and how the stories of all the characters within the family intertwine. My attention was held as all of the charactersâ stories were explored.

Long, but beautiful story about a woman and her relationships with her family
Same As It Ever Was by Claire Lombardo
Â
A fun and easy read, slightly predictable. The chapter titles are creative and cute. Drama in the workplace is the storyline but it kept me interested and hooked.
I Hope This Finds You Well by Natalie Sue

At first it was a little confusing because there are so many people within the book, but I was able to get the hang of the authorâs writing and realized I couldnât get hyper focused on any one person. The book had so many facts and really told the st...

A collection of stories with a light Hanukkah theme. Some were more entertaining than others, but there are so few Hanukkah stories out there that I appreciated that this even existed!
Eight Very Bad Nights: A Collection of Hanukkah Noir by Tod Goldberg
A heavy story of love infiltrated with DV. The story brought me so many mixed emotions. I didnât know what I wanted in the end, and CH did a great job letting you truly feel what the characters were feeling with her writing.

Books that you could take it or leave it. Just ok.
Â
The overall plot of the story was very interesting although as the book progressed, it did seem to get a bit slow. I enjoyed the protagonist and her two different lives, as well as the twist the author placed towards the end of the story.
I liked the overall plot of the two stories and how they intertwined, although I felt like the story unnecessarily dragged out as it got closer to the end. A book about female empowerment and feminism.
Anita de Monte Laughs Last by XĂłchitl GonzĂĄlez

A multigenerational story about an African American family in the south in the 90s. Each chapter is a different story, with no real entire plot throughout the book. I enjoyed the stories, and I was able to compare the lives of the young girl to my ow...

Â
Cute enough story, a bit slow moving at times, entirely predictable.
The Paradise Problem by Christina Lauren
Â
This book was very well researched and there was a lot of history described. Itâs important that these stories are told. A lot of people were described throughout the book and I had a hard time keeping track of who was who.
Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI
A fun beach read. A bit predictable but still kept my attention. The character is a lot like Hannah, if youâre familiar with the author. Iâd likely read her next book when itâs written.
Mistakes We Never Made by Hannah Brown

Slow to start, but beautifully written. The ending was unexpected.
