Creative Discovery Museum - Chattanooga, TN
A historic bridge closed to cars in the 1970's, the community raised money to restore it. It now is only for foot traffic and connects south to north side of Chattanooga providing great views of the river!

The Lost Sea
One of our favorite day trips- Bald River Falls. In Tellico Plains and nestled in the Cherokee National Forest, the falls are a beautiful site. Newly renovated area makes parking easier and the bridge viewing area easier to navigate. Small trails surround it with the ability to climb to the top of the fields and play in the creek.

Going to Bald River Falls? You've got to stop here. An institution for those that live in the area for a great burger or ice cream. Sitting are overlooking the river that flows right behind it!

Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg
A beautiful loop through the foothills of the Smokies! Drive through or ride a bike and chance seeing wildlife- deer, bear. A visitor center is halfway through. Stop and visit the old church and old homesteads. Easy to more vigorous trails are woven throughout the loop.
Cades Cove - Great Smoky Mountains National Park (U.S. National Park Service)
One of my favorite places to go in Gatlinburg. It's a moderate trail to “hike”- up and down hills to get to the falls. It's beautiful there and right outside the city limits.
Hike to Laurel Falls (U.S. National Park Service)
Way different than the Chattanooga aquarium- see more exotic sea life in this location. Right in the heart of Gatlinburg can walk into downtown for lunch.

An amusement park on top of a mountain! Great views. Fun rides. (P.S- I know the family that does the decorative lighting for the holidays so of course it's beautiful :-)
