Any size mason jar will do it’s just to keep your dough contained. I would recommend getting to since you do have to discard in the beginning. Don’t throw it out. You can use this for many recipes!

Do you wanna find a long skinny spatula like this one above to fit into your mason jar when you’re mixing your sourdough starter. Do you wanna make sure that you do not use any metal in your sourdough so silicone is best.
You want to have a bread lame such as the one above order to score your bread. This is what gives you that nice opening and you can also create fun designs.

You’ll need a dusting one like this to sprinkle rice flour on top of your bread before using your bread lame.

A silicone mat like this is great for needing your dough and rolling it out in order to add inclusions into your breads.
Using a bread sling like this one will help you when baking your bread place it at the bottom of your Dutch oven and place your dough on top. This helps you easily transfer the bread after it is done cooking to a wire rack in order for it to cool.
