As a New Yorker turned Nashville citizen, the adjustment took me some time, but these local favorites have made it easy and worthwhile.

Beautiful state park for all activity types. Leisurely walks, jogging, bike riding, and of course some trails are dog friendly too.
Radnor Lake State Park
Tucked away within the city, this park offers suburban vibe and nature activity setting for kids and adults alike. There’s a nature center that is especially fun and educational for kids.
Shelby Park
Beautiful estate and gardens that look like something straight out of a fairy tale. Highly recommend to visit during Holiday season when the park is decorated and packed with activities for all ages.
Cheekwood Gardens
Nashville's very own version of Central Park in New York. The exact replica of The Parthenon in Athens, Greece may be the least impressive thing about it. That is saying something! We love strolls here in cool summer days and Fall transitional days. ...

I have lived in several cities now and Frothy Monkey is one of a kind. Great coffee and pastries, great lunch menu, great dinner menu. Great study spot, great meetup spot. Just all around great!
Frothy Monkey Coffee and Restaurant
This is hands down my most favorite brunch spot in middle TN. Farm to table style, chic, and doesn't break the bank.
Cafe Roze
Super chic spot for some traditional Mexican salsa and dishes. Its way better than Tex-Mex but also not a standard mom-n-pop shop. The food and drinks are great!
Superica Nashville
As a rule of thumb, we tend to avoid seafood in landlocked states BUT when that craving hits, we've not found a better sushi spot yet. The food, the sake, the sushi, this restaurant just hits.
I Love Sushi
All-in-one stop for all the most famous and loved local restaurants in Nashville, TN. Great for larger groups or couples who always have to compromise on what to eat, here you don't. There is a rooftop event space that is generally open to the public...
Assembly Food Hall
Jeni's is a Nashville staple for ice cream. There are several locations across town. Can't go wrong with any flavor.

If stand-up comedy is your thing, Zanie's is what you are looking for. Great energy.
Zanies Comedy Night Club
If you love solving puzzles and escape games in general these are the best most life-like scenarios. They vary in difficulty level and we do at least one every year.
The Escape Game Nashville (Downtown)
If you've ever wanted to learn how to Salsa, Plaza Mariachi hosts weekly lessons for free. The environment is so chill and welcoming.
Free Salsa Lessons & Open Dance Floor - Salsa Night
One of my all time favorite cafes. It's basically a library for board games where you can play and discover games before committing to buying one. If board games aren't your thing, they also have a ton of card games available. It's always a vibe.
