The Michelin Guide to the American South was just released and Nashville had a fantastic showing! These are all the award winners - and my personal recommendations about them!

One Star Restaurants
The Catbird Seat was rumored once to be Reese Witherspoon’s favorite restaurant in Nashville. It’s definitely a special occasion price point and resys are required.
The Catbird Seat
Hot take…I don’t personally love Locust. But I’m an outlier, because the true foodies and seafood lovers I know rave. Resys required.
Locust
I’ve not eaten at the intimate tasting restaurant upstairs, but I have been to the downstairs bar which is always a vibe. Note: you can only get nachos downstairs. And resy’s are required for the restaurant.

Bib Gourmand Restaurants
Elevated pizza from a local chef who started at farmers markets!
St.Vito Focacceria
Just a good, no frills taco joint. They serve their queso with regular tortillas, not chips, and many people love their burger (it’s not my personal fave, but to each his own)
Redheaded Stranger
A recent James Beard award winner, many think Peninsula was snubbed by Michelin. It’s a foodies delight and has a great ambiance.
Peninsula
They JUST added reservations and you will want them because this Japanese kissaten is only open for lunch and extremely difficult to get into. But it’s so worth it!
Kisser
This Uzbek/Central Asian restaurant is under the radar for now, but I expect they’ll soon be hopping. Except reasonable prices, DELICIOUS (and cute!) tea, and good piping hot food.
Uzbegim Halal Restaurant
Currently a vendor in the Wash, SS Gai will soon have a brick and mortar for their Thai fried chicken. And the mango rice, which is equally important, IMO.
SS Gai
A Sean Brock creation, this beautiful open kitchen restaurant serves Japanese influenced pizza. As someone who likes super greasy, cheesy pizza, this isn’t my first choice. But for those who prefer the unexpected, it’s a great option.

Alex Burch from this Laotian-inspired restaurant in a gorgeous restored church won the Sommelier award.
Bad Idea
Nashville’s most iconic meat and three. I’m not a meat and three girlie, so I think it’s a bit pricey for what it is. But I know many others who love it.
Arnold's Country Kitchen
One of my favorite restaurants in Nashville, truly. Resys strongly recommended.
Rolf and Daughters
This Indian tasting menu was one of the best meals I’ve ever had, and I don’t even love Indian food. Gorgeous interior, great service. It’s top tier for me.
Tailor Nashville
Formerly affiliated with Sean Brock, Audrey is a beautiful space with Appalachian inspired food. But…I would skip this one. 👀
Audrey Nashville
If you’re going to do Hattie B’s, go anywhere except the Midtown or downtown locations. The lines are so long.
But there are better places for hot chicken, imo.
Hattie B's Hot Chicken - Nashville - Midtown
Another cult fave that I don’t personally love, but so many others do, it may be worth you forming your own opinion.
Folk
I’ve heard mixed reviews but will have to update after I’ve been.
iggy’s
A true Nashville original, now run by the owners’ son, celebrity chef Arnold Myint.
International Market
The cutest cafe with a great happy hour. Resys recommended.
Cafe Roze
Texas style BBQ with a cult following - and a massive parking lot!
