Clay Cliffs, Waikato. The coolest rock formations that originated from glaciers over a million years ago.
Split Apple Rock. A cool destination to check out when you are visiting Tasman bay. Up towards Kaiteriteri, it's basically a huge rock that looks like it's been cut in half. A must visit if you are in the area and best seen at low tide.

Lake Tekapo. Just the prettiest coloured lake you'll ever see. The town is small but the lake makes up for it. Probably one of the most photographed churches resides here too. Bonus points if you visit when the lupins are in bloom.
Mount Cook. A nice but long hike with epics views. Even saw an iceberg. Gotta check this out if nature is your thing
Akaroa- approx 1.5 hours from Christchurch. Akaroa is a unique locale as it's one of the oldest heritage towns on South Island. Perfect place for fish & chips too.
Hokitika Gorge. Walks along the Gorge in the Hokitika Gorge scenic reserve. Yes, the water is really that colour. It's on the West coast of the South Island. Beauty everywhere!!
Cardrona. This is a great little pub on the way to Wanaka, NZ. Very charming place & great fried pickles.
Bluff. A cool little place and is on southern most tip of South Island of New Zealand. Best place to find sea glass too. Great seafood and where you can arrange to go cage diving with sharks!
Picton. This town has a ferry which will take you to the North island. It's all the way at the top of South Island. A small town but beautiful things to see
Pupu Springs, Takaka, NZ. Apparently has the clearest water. It was unreal to see in person.
Blue Pools, Otago. This IS that colour! Short little trail down to see this. In the summer months people jump off the bridge into the water. Stunning!
Wanaka. This tree is known as "that Wanaka tree" and everyone wants to see and take photos of it. Wanaka is a cute little town with lots to see and do. Great shopping & cafes too!
