We went to both parks at Universal Studios in Orlando back in March and then took a day trip to the water park at Universal in July. Here are all of the tips and tricks and must haves for a trip to Universal!

Depending on how far of a drive you have, this is great to use to pack sandwiches and drinks for the road trip.  It's about a 4 hour drive for us but it's still convenient to only need to stop for gas and bathroom breaks, not food too.

Since it's only a 4 hour drive, we like to leave super early in the morning (like 3 or 4 am) and get there right when the park opens.  A comfy neck pillow is key for sleeping kids in the car.

Highly recommend downloading the Universal Studios app ahead of time and trying to plan out which rides to go on first. We like to start at the most popular rides first because the wait time gets way longer as the day goes on.

Be sure to bring one (or two if you can fit it) portable phone chargers so you can use the park app to navigate, take photos, or entertain kids on longer wait times for certain rides

Be prepared for a LOT of walking with some comfy shoes. We walked about 12 miles the first day and 10 miles the second day according to my husband's fitbit watch

I'd highly recommend investing in some shoe inserts as well because of how much walking and standing in line waiting you will do. I prefer the Profoot brand over Dr Scholls personally

A small crossbody with zippered compartments is what I used and it easily fit in the lockers on the rides I couldn't bring anything it, and I could put my phone, my husband's phone, and our portable chargers and cords in.

I would probably use this one or something similar next time just to have easier access to stuff. It was a bit hard to get to stuff in my crossbody when we needed it without having to take everything out

Just gonna admit that my sister and her family created this product so I'm biased here but she based it off of a game we would play with our uncle on road trips as kids and made it way more fun! Plus it's versatile

This thing is worth its weight in gold for road trips with kids.  I love that there are limits you can put in place, you can set educational goals like you have to read for at least an hour before you can play any games, and there's a ton of games and apps that don't require WIFI to play.
