Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha, Nebraska is a must see! You could easily spend 2 days here. If you go in the summer, don’t forget swimwear for the splash pad!
Rated one of the top zoos in the country and definitely a must see! This is definitely an all day zoo and could easily fill 2 days. The zoo allows you to bring ice chests and food and I highly suggest doing this! We packed sandwiches, snacks, and drinks and there were plenty of shady spots to sit and eat. The zoo is huge so prepare for lots of walking and some difficult hills. There is a train and chair lift that you can ride! They have a huge kids play area as well as a splash pad but don’t make the same mistake we did and pay attention to splashpad hours. They aren’t open for the full zoo hours. Last little tip, if you have a membership at your local zoo, check to see if you can get a discount!
This place was so fun! The playground was A-MAZING and my boys loved the train garden!
Lauritzen Gardens in Omaha, Nebraska has something for everyone in the family! Gardens for the plant people, model trains for the train enthusiasts, and a brand new playground with splashpad for the kids! The playground was absolutely precious! We stayed for about 2.5 hours and saw most of the gardens and had plenty of time on the playground. If you want to see more of the gardens and you have littles, I suggest bringing a stroller. It’s a good bit of walking. They do have a fun scavenger hunt though that my kids enjoyed! Check it out if you’re in the area🌹🪻🌸🌺🌻
This was one of the coolest places I’ve ever visited. SO much to see! We went in the afternoon and did not give ourselves nearly enough time. You could literally spend hours here exploring and the learning capabilities are endless!
Kiewit Luminarium in Omaha is a must see if you have kids! Interactive STEM center with so much to do and see! Their website says it’s geared to kids 6 and older but my kids are 5 and 3 and loved it! We gave ourselves 2 hours but could’ve stayed at least another hour, maybe more. If you have older kids, definitely plan for more time. It’s located on the riverfront near the amazing riverfront playground! Kids under 3 are free!
Downtown Omaha had the absolute coolest parks we’ve ever been to! The riverfront one was our favorite!
If you’re visiting Omaha with kids, the Riverfront Playground is a MUST! It had it all and more! The water features were the coolest thing I’ve ever seen at a playground and my kids LOVED them!
Amazing putt-putt place! It has 3 different courses, an arcade, and food court. We had so much fun!
We went to the coolest putt-putt place! It’s located in Omaha, Nebraska. There were 4 total courses, an arcade, VR laser tag, restaurant/bar, and party rooms! One of the courses had a small dinosaur themed playground with a small dig zone. Definitely a must see if you’re in the area! #travelwithkids #familyvacation #omaha #minigolf
