Portland is an incredibly photogenic and scenic city. There are thousands of amazing places to capture epic photos but here are a few of my absolute favorite spots. You'll see photos in these locations featured on my social media pages.
The viewpoint here is one of my favorite spots to get a good view of downtown Portland.
Pittock Mansion
One of the best spots to capture a stunning view of Mt. Hood and the surrounding area.
Rocky Butte Natural Area
This is also another amazing place to capture a view of Mt. Hood, but there is also an orchard that's perfect for taking portrait photos in the warmer months.
Powell Butte Nature Park
I've held many portrait photo sessions here as well as captured amazing photos of the downtown Portland skyline and the Sellwood bridge.
Sellwood Riverfront Park
This is one of my favorite places in Portland to spend time with a camera. Endless trails, lots of amazing trees, city views and I've also photographed an elopement here. It's magic!
Hoyt Arboretum, a living museum of trees in Portland
In the spring you can capture the Cherry Blossoms here and other times of the year it's amazing for portraits, city views, street photography and bridge photos. Endless opportunities.

Sauvie Island is home to many different farms which are ripe with opportunity for photos from landscape to lifestyle and portrait. It's a photographer's playground.
