I recommend using this on roots & edges only because it's a thick oil. It promotes growth but primarily keeps your new growth & edges moisturized (especially when wearing scarfs, bonnets, & other headwraps).

I prefer crochet maintenance & the occasional retwist throughout the year. No matter what method you choose, these products are great to try out.
I don't do neat parts when retwisting so I don't require a super hold gel. I use this gel because of the ingredients and it does not leave residue.
