items There’s so many matcha places popping up left and right in the South Bay, so it’s quite difficult to choose only one when you’re craving a nice matcha. Here are my recs and thoughts on where to go to get your matcha fix when you’re here!

7/10: Cere is pretty good for dessert matcha as well, and they’re well known for their einspanners. My only gripe is that drinks are either not sweet enough or WAY too sweet (aka the sunny side up einspanner).

Ceré Tea
5.5/10: This matcha is good when you’re strolling through Valley Fair and NEED matcha right away (Although, I definitely would recommend going to Academic right next door).
Their soft serve is better than their actual matcha though!
Matcha Cafe Maiko
8.5/10: Another classic! I always used to go to the Japantown one.
This one gets a bit of a lower rating because I don’t enjoy some of their fruity flavors (like the peach one). Didn’t like their cheese tart either. But recommend their soft serve!
