Incredible writing and a story that needs to be seen. I initially read this on Libby’s book club at the start of 2024 and was impressed. I always get so attached to characters when they’re well written and this is definitely the case.
One Summer in Savannah: A Novel
As a child I was obsessed with her and this book definitely sheds light on the perfect existence I thought she had. So glad she got her freedom back and hope for the best for Britney.
The Woman in Me: Spears, Britney
As a woman in her 30s, it’s kind of required to at least read one of Colleen Hoover’s novels. I did! Many times. If you like her work, check this out.
Without Merit: A Novel: Hoover, Colleen
This guy right here is an expert at the horror genre. Way back in the day I was introduced to My Best Friend’s Exorcism (another awesome read obv) and was enthralled by his work. I could just go ahead and say he’s my favorite horror author right now....
Horrorstör
I told you that I read more than one of her books and here we go. Lowkey gives me the same vibes as that movie Music and Lyrics- that one with Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore. Romancing over music. Have yet to read the next on the series but I’m sure t...
Maybe Someday
I’m obviously very into horror and this cover immediately caught my attention. There’s just something about a summer camp horror story that really catches my attention. I’ve read so many of them that they blend together in my memory. Go check it out ...
You're Not Supposed to Die Tonight
A very good entry to this series. I do enjoy a book about British life- even if there’s no wizards playing broomstick sports. Enjoy the quirky characters and dramatic moments.
Still Me (Me Before You, #3) by Jojo Moyes | Goodreads
Yet another book I’ve read from CH. always a good read and you never know where she’s going to take the characters and that’s what I like about her books.
Hopeless
Another compelling read I have read.
The Dead Girls Club: A Novel - Books
This book takes place in Nebraska so it’s an obvious pick for me. Fictional town but full of the creepy gore I’ve come to like to read about.
There's Someone Inside Your House
A comedian I’ve admired since I was a child watching SNL. The legend. Anything with Tina and I’m all in, so this book is a must read! She’s the funniest lady and reading about her childhood and seeing the photos was definitely a fun time.
Bossypants
I’ve been getting more into mystery books in the past few years and this is for sure one of the top ones. I like to guess who the bad guy is as context clues are dropped and get very excited when I’m correct. Enjoy the Irish setting and learning some...
Murder at an Irish Wedding
Story about the future and I do enjoy a look at what various writers think would happen in those times.
Alone Out Here
Good writing so I read this.
Expiration Dates: A Novel
I read a few books now about wives that are upstairs. This one is based on a classic book and the wife in that book, I assume. Read this in March.
The Wife Upstairs: A Novel
Another horror book about a summer camp. What is it about camp that’s so scary? Probably all the mosquitoes ha but no it’s a whole scary adventure, dealing with some cult if I remember right. One of them definitely did.
The Last Girls Standing by Jennifer Dugan | Goodreads
I just enjoy another take on the Wizard of Oz and here’s one. You know it’s a good read if I’m not leaving a book unfinished and this fits into that category.
Spelled (The Storymakers, #1) by Betsy Schow
I really enjoy these books because I like a twist on a story I know and my Disnerd tendencies I’ve had since the age of two. Kind of violent and creepy- almost could be put into horror tbh. Very creepy elements.
A Whole New World-A Twisted Tale - amazon.com
Been awhile since I read this but I can recall it’s about ghosts talking to a detective who is trying to solve… ahem… crimes. Part of a series that I should pick up again.
Whispers at Dusk: Paranormal Mystery Romance
The first time I saw this was at a Barnes and Noble display and remembered it for later reading. It’s funny and with a very sadistic protagonist. Disturbed girl but funny movements from her POV.
You'd Look Better as a Ghost by Joanna Wallace - Goodreads
Another twisted tale of Disney. My favorite thing ever- Frozen! Alternate tale of the sisters growing up.
Conceal, Don't Feel (A Twisted Tale) | Disney Wiki | Fandom
Second in the series and a very good read.
The Hawthorne Legacy by Jennifer Lynn Barnes | Goodreads
I do seem to enjoy some creepy horror books and this won’t fail on that front, that’s for sure. This book involves zombies and some unexpected twists.
This Delicious Death by Kayla Cottingham | Goodreads
Oh this was a really good one. A good horror mystery with the twists, as the lady on the cover says. Jeneva is one of my favorite authors, maybe partly because she is a fellow bulldog parent.
Home Is Where the Bodies Are by Jeneva Rose | Goodreads
Quite a long read and I really wish authors of incredible stories would turn out to be the actual worse in their personal lives. Most likely the last I’ll read from that certain author but it was a very interesting book.
Good Omens (TV series)
Found this author for the first time while strolling through Walmart and I either bought the book or looked it up on my Libby app to save some money lol. Very immersive story.
The Husbands by Chandler Baker | Goodreads
After I finished this mystery book I was left wanting more from this author and was sad there wasn’t. She’s really good and tells a great story with those twists a mystery always seems to have.
The Golden Spoon
Funny and different little horror book about some little horrors- vampire toddlers!
Cutting Teeth by Chandler Baker | Goodreads
Oh yes this was very good. Hidden family dynamics and twists. It was quite a ride.
Home Before Dark by Riley Sager | Goodreads
Had always seen talk about the show so I decided to read the book. Definitely differently different. Very dark with funny moments.
13 Reasons Why
One of those books that’s so well written and full of interesting characters that make you want more of the story after it’s over and really hoping another will be added soon.
Pineapple Street by Jenny Jackson | Goodreads
