A NH State Park beach that’s the perfect size. Make sure to check the tide map to see when high tide is-it can get a little cramped if it’s during the height of the day.
Wallis Sands State Park
Can’t miss taking a stroll in the Prescott Park Flower gardens or making a wish in the multiple fountains. Don’t leave before you get to see the bridge lift up for a tall boat!
Prescott Park
You must pay to play at this park during the bush season, but it’s worth it with a new playground, incredible scenery, and a small beach. There are grills so you can spend the whole day!
Great Island Common
A fun water park to cool off if you’ve been to the beach one two many times. Thrills for younger and older kids, but not a lot of shade to be found. Definitely don’t forget the sunscreen!
Water Country Water Park
Can’t skip a stop here! Awesome ice cream, but remember to bring your cash.
Lago's Ice Cream
A favorite for beach food and ice cream. There’s a clearing in the back with picnic tables and space to run for the kids.
The Ice House
Need somewhere to grab a lunch on the go? Moe’s is your place!
Moe's Italian Sandwiches
Newmarket has a fantastic little splash pad to cool off at! Check the website for their hours as they change.
Aqua Land Splash Pad
If you head to Prescott Park, check to see if there’s a show happening! Lots of incredible performances, all for a suggested donation fee.
Prescott Park Arts Festival
Such a fun place to bring littles for some non water based play. They’ve got a lot of free activities to do, then pop into the store for some take out lunch or treats!
Tendercrop Farm at the Red Barn
A look into history in this downtown Portsmouth site. They have so many awesome events going throughout the summers (and all year long, really)!
