Don’t use your nice tools for the beginning process, use efficient cheap “scratch” tools to get the creativity going and don’t forget to warm up
It’s best to warm up with cheap paper and have something free from binding

Use colors and basic shapes to map out what you’re going to do after your warm up draft.
I use multiple of these because I get the colored led to map out different layers/highlights/shawdows. These are great for when you map out your scene

I used to want all the comic markers in every color but these markers have been proven to be a great choice with some saying it’s even better at an even better price point. Don’t worry about getting all the colors, but know you have options!

Marker Paper
I like these pens because they write/draw sharp. A lot of times you’ll actually see artist who like their work to be colored also line their work in color. Normally a darker or contrasting color. These are great on hand writing and lining pens.
