I loved this Iliad retelling from the point of view of Cassandra and Helen! High stakes but also comfy sapphic romance with an ace character.

Before reading this book, I thought I didn't like cozy fantasy. It proved me wrong! There truly is magic in those characters. It's a slow, atmospheric book which transports you to another world.

Read it. Really. It's beautiful, it's historically accurate, it's queer.

I loved the first volume of the trilogy so much that I started reading the second one right away! It's way more violent than the first one, and not my favorite, but it's worth 5 stars anyway.

If you're obsessed with history as I am, you'll like this book! This is 400 pages of 2 gay gremlins running around Pompeii, and it's great. A comfort story with high stakes.
Vesuvius by Cass Biehn

This novel is a mad, feverish dream. It's nothing like what I've read before. The knowledge of the writer about Bronze Age Greece is astonishing. I loved every page of it.
