This is my favourite and most used way of getting data when traveling, it’s been a game changer especially trip where a go to multiple countries.

Car-Camping on your own can be super intimidating, having a safe place to sleep is a game changer.
This I the main app I use to find free camping stop when car camping, the reviews are very helpful and I always felt safe. I also create a shared folder, with my family, on google maps, where I pin every night’s campsite.
iOverlander
This is the main app I used when I was doing my roadtrip in Australia. It is so worth the 10$. It’s the most used app for free campsites (and showers, water station, toilets…) in Australia so there’s so much info.

Accommodation and transport the biggest expense when backpacking, knowing where to look for the best deals is super important.
Kiwi has been my go to site to book flights for years. I really like that you can select multiple departure and return dates and kiwi finds the best combination.

This is my go to site to find hostels, I find their reviews system to be trustworthy.

This is my second favourite option for finding hostels. It’s especially useful outside of big cities or popular destinations because they seem to have a larger list of hotels, hostels and other accommodations

Work exchanges are a great way to get free or cheap accommodation and to meet new friends. Make sure to check each countries visa requirements for volunteer work.
