Car hire locations in the highlands. In my opinion, you will need a car to fully experience the beauty of the area. I always suggest buying fuel prior to travelling over to the western islands as it is cheaper on the mainland.
Inverness is the gateway to the highlands, the airport is small but well connected to London. The rental desk is located in the airport terminal building, in Arrivals, adjacent to the luggage carousel.
