Jade Garden is my favorite dim sum in Seattle. The menu is huge and you can spend under $20 for dim sum or even more if you want to order larger entrees. Great for families as well.

Formerly Oh’s Sandwiches, Giòn has my favorite bánh mi in Seattle. The sandwiches are filled to the brim and the baguette is crispy outside and soft inside. They also serve boba tea.
Gion Banh Mi & Tea - West Seattle
This affordable burger joint has some of best no-frills deals in the city. Takeout or drive-through only.
Zest Fast Food - Rainier Beach
One of the best cozy spots for pho and banh mi! Lucky’s is family owned and has affordable prices for dine in and takeout.
Lucky's Pho - Fremont
Bombay Burger serves Indian-style burgers (including an awesome lamb burger), sides, and desserts. It’s quick, tasty, and affordable!
Bombay Burger - Capitol Hill
This is some of the most affordable dim sum remaining in Seattle. Great prices and portions.

Ezell’s has a great lunch combo for bone-in or chicken tenders that includes a roll, side, and drink.

This neighborhood dive is known for weekend brunch and evening games, but they have a solid lunch menu as well. The burgers (particularly The Point Burger) are huge and tasty.

Kau Kau has large portions and affordable prices for bbq and rice bowls, plus other dishes. It’s a great option if you want to have leftovers for dinner.

Secret Burger Kitchen - First Hill
This is one of my favorite pizza-by-the-slice spots. It’s hot and tasty! 🍕 Other locations operate under similar names based on the neighborhood they’re in.
Ballard Pizza Company - Ballard
This spot serves Roman-style pizza slices at $6-$7 each—they’re deep slices as well! Come back for a rotating selection of toppings. Watch by Instagram Reel at the top of the list for a closer look.
Pizza By Ruffin - South Lake Union
This quaint spot is family-run and has delicious empanadas, pizza, pastries, and sweets. I enjoy them for breakfast and lunch! It’s more affordable than many other bakeries in Seattle.
Seatango Argentine Bakery & Cafe - Lake City
Known for their sandwiches and ice cream, Husky Deli is a West Seattle staple. Choose from the large menu or build your own. Their ice cream cones are popular in the summer!

With unbeatable prices, this takeout spot serves dim sum classics. Larger items can be preordered for pickup.
Beacon B.B.Q. - Beacon Hill
Grab an Indian taco and a coffee here for under $10 each. This Indigenous-owned café at the Burke Museum has Indian tacos, plain, and sweet frybread between $5-$8.50. They also have a food truck that pops up at different events throughout the area.
Off The Rez Cafe - U District
This bodega-style Hills spot is tiny with just a few seats, but come for great sandwich and rice bowl deals. A snack-size rice bowl with meat and toppings can run around $9 and gives you quite a bit of food for the price.
Bad Chancla - Capitol Hill
Affordable prices are still a draw at this drive-in spot. While I don’t think the burgers are quite as good now as they were under the previous ownership, the chicken, milkshakes, and sides haven’t changed.

PICK-QUICK Drive-In - Sodo
Made-to-order sandwiches range from $9-$13 at this small grocery store and cafe. Sides can be added for $3.
Wildwood Market and Eatery - West Seattle
Sandwiches here are about $15 but they’re huge. I’m usually able to make two meals out of one sandwich.
Royal Grinders - Fremont
Grab a 6- or 12-inch sandwich combo here for under $15! Their cookies are tasty, too! Soups, salads, and kids’ meals are also available.
Sub Shop - West Seattle
A Threads friend recommended this First Hill spot. Their rice bowls and sandwiches are all under $20.
Coffee Tree Poke - First Hill
Get the pupusas! They’re one of the best deals at this bakery which also has full meal plates, sweets, and custom cake orders.
Salvadorean Bakery and Restaurant - White Center
Over $20
If you have a little more to spend, this section is for mid-range and elevated lunch restaurants.
Love this spot for an elevated lunch. I most recently had their combo fried chicken sandwich and lemongrass chicken soup for a special lunch. The downtown location has a lovely staircase.
Purple Cafe & Wine Bar | Downtown Seattle and Wallingford
Lunch is a much easier time to grab a walk-in table at this popular Italian restaurant.

Celebrating a birthday or special occasion? These restaurants have plenty of room for groups. As always, make a reservation or call ahead for large parties.
Ba Bar serves modern Vietnamese food and it’s delicious! The South Lake Union location is great for groups! Reserve ahead to make sure you can get a large table.
