Spacious community park with a great playground, kiddie train through the woods, carousel, walking and biking trails, picnic areas. Oh and delicious wild blackberries along the sides of pathways!

We had a great time at this farmer’s market; plenty of space and booths full of fresh produce and craftsman-made goods like breads and pastries, jams and butters, specialty flour, garden plants, and more!
Downtown Silver Spring - FRESHFARM Markets
Acres of gorgeous gardens and trees to walk and enjoy, places to picnic (no bbq and leave no trash!), this is one of my favorite places as a gardener and lover of natural spaces.
U.S. National Arboretum
A wonderful open-air butterfly garden full of many species of colorful butterflies and moths all season. Such a treat to take a turn through here either before or after enjoying the surrounding garden trails.
