The pump that works the best and feels the best is so important. I looked for easy to clean, the least number of parts, a closed system and battery length.
This was a big help for my morning feeds, it suctions to the side not being fed on and catches the let down.
I tried multiple but always came back to the Spectra. It is quiet, rechargeable and easy to use. This type of suction worked best for me as well.

Nipple shields are cost effective and can be a life saver your first time breast feeding or if there are any challenges like a tongue tie. My advice have a nipple shield even if you don’t need it.
