You’re never too old for a good cartoon or animation! Rewatching them with a new perspective can help you connect and understand your inner child and of course great art inspiration/references! Animation helps artists think beyond what’s possible!
It’s a must watch and rewatch! I definitely recommend to watch throughout your lifetime because it makes you understand the many perspectives of each character.
Avatar: The Last Airbender (TV Series 2005–2008)
A very progressive and open minded show! They were not afraid to showcase anything that is considered taboo in media or animation. Teaches children about acceptance and respect towards others no matter their background.
She-Ra and the Princesses of Power (TV Series 2018–2020)
I love this show! I loved that they stick to Korean culture and superstitious beliefs!
Jentry Chau vs the Underworld (TV Series 2024)
First animation that taught me that for you to be brave you have to do things while being afraid. Courage is the cutest!
Courage the Cowardly Dog (TV Series 1999–2002)
lol they are just some badass girls that got hands! That’s all you need to know.
The Powerpuff Girls (TV Series 1998–2004)
This animation hands down shows the reality of war. Of course through animation and metaphors but easy to understand and follow. Nobody wins in a war.
Attack on Titan (TV Series 2010-2021)
Ironically, this show is not outdated and it shows messages that are still important today.
Scooby Doo, Where Are You! (TV Series 1969–1970)
For shits and giggles but you know artists always have a message in their work. Those are my Easter eggs lol.
Tom and Jerry Tales (TV Series 1940-Present)
Another badass lead but with cool gadgets and basically a life that any young girl wanted if they were to be a spy in high school lol.
Kim Possible (TV Series 2002–2007)
These girls were also spy goals! I love their style, their personality, and of course their adventures!
Totally Spies! (TV Series 2001-Present)
Some of the many best and nostalgic DC animated series! No remake of any kind can top it!
Teen Titans (TV Series 2003–2006)
This is where my obsession with superpowers and fashion started! The creator of Sailor Moon is an icon!
Sailor Moon (TV Series 1992–1997)
I love how this animation shows the different dynamics of friendship and being your own person.
Soul Eater (TV Series 2008-2009)
Haha Johnny cracks me up! I love that this show is very open minded as well.
Johnny Bravo (TV Series 1997–2004)
Teaches us about the backgrounds of many characters and understand empathy.
Hey Arnold! (TV Series 1996-2004)
Beautiful animation inspired by a video game! They did such a good job!
