My first attempt was a white sheet clipped to the fence. Wind caught it, the picture looked terrible, and my kids roasted me. These screens changed everything and they fold down in minutes.

I was convinced I needed to spend $800 on a projector. Turns out you really don't. These all look sharp once the sun goes down, and none of them required me to remortgage anything.

Projector speakers are universally terrible. Found that out the hard way when my kids kept yelling ‘WHAT DID HE SAY’ during every quiet scene. These fixed it immediately.

Nobody wants to watch a two-hour movie in a plastic Adirondack chair. Learned that when three kids abandoned their chairs and just laid on the dirt. Now we go full cozy from the start.

Floodlights kill the screen picture. Total darkness means someone steps on a dog. These give you just enough glow to find the snack table without washing out the movie.

You can't do movie night without a snack spread. Tried balancing bowls on the grass once. Popcorn everywhere. Ants showed up in minutes. Now we have an actual system.

Nothing ends a movie night faster than mosquitoes eating everyone alive or a kid getting cold at 9 PM. Solved both problems after one miserable Friday night in July.
