Our first family tent folded like a napkin in 30mph winds. I needed something three kids couldn't destroy and rain couldn't penetrate — these delivered on both counts.

Nothing kills a camping trip faster than a cold kid at midnight. I went through three cheap sleeping bags before finding ones my children actually stayed inside of.

Trying to cook for five people on a single burner while hungry kids circle you like sharks — that was every trip until I upgraded my camp kitchen setup.

My children have broken three lanterns and lost approximately forty flashlights. Finding lights that are bright, cheap to run, and kid-proof was a personal mission.

Woke up on the cold ground at 3am because our air mattress had a slow leak. That was the last time — I tested a bunch and these actually stayed inflated all night.

The weather app said partly cloudy. It poured for six hours. Now I pack rain gear no matter what because I've been fooled one too many times.

Spent forty minutes trying to start a fire with wet wood and crumpled receipts while three hungry kids stared at me. Never again.

First night of every trip used to be spent digging through bags asking where did I pack the spatula. A few cheap organizers fixed that embarrassing problem completely.
