I lost a TV deal last year because I wandered the store for 20 minutes before heading to electronics. Now I grab tech first, no detours, straight to the back of the store while everyone else is still fighting over doorbuster bins.

After tech, I cut through housewares because it's right on the path to checkout. Kitchen stuff is always well-stocked on Black Friday so you can breathe here. These are the gifts that made my family members actually send thank-you texts.

Swing through the home section next. Blankets and candles are piled high on Black Friday so you won't waste time searching. Every single year these get the biggest reactions at gift exchanges and I stopped overthinking it.

These are all in the front aisles or checkout lanes. Scoop them up on your way through without breaking stride. I fill a reusable bag with small stuff here and it takes under three minutes.

Sporting goods is usually one aisle over from toys, so hit it on the same loop. These are for the brother or friend who asked for ‘nothing’ but definitely wants something active. Took me 90 seconds to clear this section last year.

Toys are always the most chaotic section so I memorize exactly which ones I need and grab them without browsing. Browsing is how you lose 20 minutes and your sanity. In and out, no eye contact with other shoppers.

Last stop before checkout. Grab wrapping supplies, bags, and tags so you're not back at the store two days later buying tape at full price. I wasted an entire evening last year because I forgot gift bags. Never again.
