Not every K-Drama is a masterpiece. Here’s my personal list: the ones I loved, the ones that hit me hard, and even the ones I’d skip. Straight opinions, no sugarcoating.
Survival meets psychology. Not Korean but worth watching if you’re into thrillers. Best J-Drama ever made.
Alice in Borderland (TV Series 2020)
Tried to be the next Squid Game. Didn’t land for me.
The 8 Show (TV Series 2024)
Action, loyalty, and friendship. A strong, fast paced drama.
Bloodhounds
Zombies + high school chaos. Brutal and addictive.
All of Us Are Dead
Quirky and unusual. Worth a rewatch if you like offbeat characters. Last episode hits hard.
Mr. Plankton
Interesting idea, but wasted potential. I don't even remember the ending.
A Killer Paradox (TV Series 2024)
Raw, violent, and emotional. One of the strongest revenge K-Dramas. A must watch.
My Name
Revenge done right. Dark, heavy, and unforgettable.
The Glory (TV Series 2022–2023)
Ambition, injustice, and perseverance. Inspiring but not cheesy.
Itaewon Class
Horror, survival, and emotions. Monsters + humanity. A really good storyline.
Sweet Home
School violence taken seriously. Sharp, painful, and realistic.
Weak Hero
Suspenseful and emotional. A masterpiece in disguise. Lots of plot twists. You will start doubting your own assumptions.
Flower of Evil (TV Series 2020)
A hidden gem: intense and unique. Well thought connection between the episodes.
Karma
Profiling at its finest. Inspired by real criminal profilers in Korea. My favourite so far.
Through the Darkness
Complex, layered, and brilliantly acted. A must for crime lovers. You for sure won't know what to believe anymore.
Beyond Evil
Political, cerebral, and tense. One of the best written K-Dramas. My second favourite.
Stranger
Military, trauma, and injustice. Harsh but unforgettable. Inspired by what really happened in South Korea.
D.P.
Intelligent, suspenseful, and worth rewatching. What would happen in a utopian society where citizens had easy access to weapons? This series shows it brilliantly.
