Includes some East Kensington/Port Richmond spots as well that are close by. This is where a majority of philly’s breweries seem to be located.
One of my personal favorites in the area that also doubles as a listening room for vinyl. Check their Instagram for food pop ups as well!
Sacred Vice Brewing - Berks Street Taproom
Fun fact: this was the facade used for Mick’s Gym in “Rocky”. But don’t bother the staff about it because it isn’t a Rocky themed bar.
Lost Time Brewing Company
Classic lager styles. A sandwich from Poe’s is also a must!
Human Robot
This is where a lot of neighborhood locals hang. Beer is priced a bit lower than other breweries in the area. Also has a cool history during the prohibition era.
Philadelphia Brewing Co.
Best sours ever! Downside is they don’t have regular days or hours and you need to check their Instagram for when they’re open. Also not much seating, be prepared to stand.
Fermentery Form
An NYC brewery that expanded to Philly. Highly recommend if you’re a hardcore IPA fan. Food selection is solid. Space is great for larger groups.
Other Half Brewing Philadelphia
There’s also a location in West Philly but this one serves Polish Food instead of pizza
Carbon Copy Port Richmond
There isn’t a ton in the surrounding area, but perfect for larger gatherings. Also close-ish to Chinatown for some good food!
Love City Brewing
One of Philly’s hottest microbreweries. Really close to delicious restaurants such as Honey’s, Cafe La Maude, and Suya Suya.
Future Days Beer Company
The milk bottles for beer flights are lowkey kinda cool.

Great place to bring dogs on a nicer day to sit outside

A few favorites not quite in the city proper, but a short drive or train ride away.
Solid IPAs. Close to the SEPTA train if you’re going to/from the city. The surrounding town of Ardmore is a trendy area to walk around.
Tired Hands Fermentaria Tap Room
Located in Delco. Beer flights are huge!
2SP Brewing Company
A brewery AND a BBQ joint all in one. Located in Bryn Mawr close to the regional rail and NHSL trains.
La Cabra Brewing Smokehouse
A close hop up 95 for some solid IPA
Neshaminy Creek Brewing Co
It’s a typical suburban brewery vibe, but solid beer and great for groups
Workhorse Brewing Company
Human Robot’s suburban location. Definitely their largest taproom out of all 4 locations!
