I always prefer going a little larger so it creates that cozy, layered look. Here’s a quick cheat sheet by tree height: 7.5-foot tree: 48"–60" diameter tree skirt 9-foot tree: 60"–72" diameter tree skirt 12-foot tree: 72"–84" diameter tree skirt I personally like a slightly oversized tree skirt so it looks lush and full. You can even layer blankets or towels underneath the skirt to give it more volume and make the base feel soft and elevated.
