Another Roman inspired fantasy following a slave girl and a soldier who questions his position of power. A fantastic read overall, I didn't LOVE the last 2 books in the series, but the first 2 were 5 stars, and the sequel series is great!

An incredible gothic fantasy with a very unique magic system. Great romance, and I wouldn't describe this as a romantasy, but a romantic subplot!
