The best ways to fill your time while visiting the OBX! From relaxing on the beach, checking out parks, shops, and more, there’s plenty to do for the entire family.
Nothing beats a day at the beach. Some days I swim all day, other days I’m reading a book or looking for seashells! Nags Head has so many public beach accesses, including those that have parking and are accessible.

Fishing is big in our family! You can catch fish in the surf, from the piers, or take a boat out. You can also catch fish in the sound. Don’t forget to purchase a fishing license.

Nags Head has well maintained sidewalks to make your run, walk, or roll around town safe! It’s always fun to detour on a run or walk and head onto the beach using one of the many beach accesses.

This park has something for everyone! Our favorites are the playground, fitness trail, and pickleball court. They also have an amphitheater where various events are held. Be sure to check out their events page!
