We Should Celebrate

🎁 Need a simple yet impactful gift? I’m loving jumbo candles right now. There are some good inexpensive options and you can add a small pedestal to pull it all together. I’m loving this one I got with the marble base.

If your boys are anything like mine, they are into “crazy shorts”, with paint splatter, ice cream, donuts, you name it! However, the most popular brand is geared towards baseball and my boys said they can’t wear them since they don’t play baseball 🙂 So I tried to find other brands with the same look. I also tried to find cheaper options, because with more than one kid needing multiple pairs, I’m not spending hundreds of dollars for a couple pairs of SHORTS for them. As much as I love crafting and creating “char-boo-terie” gifts (see my previous posts 🙂), sometimes you just gotta tie a bow on something and call it a day! My favorite go-to teacher gift at Halloween is a bag of trail mix from Target. Then I make a hole punch at the top and tie a bundle of ribbons on. Done! Target has so many fun, festive flavors and this would work for a fall/Thanksgiving gift, as well! Or you can wait until the Christmas flavors come out and use the idea then!

Once October hits, it feels like a mad dash to the new year. Between school, sports, trips, all the holiday parties/events, etc…. Sometimes a trunk or treat kit is all I can manage lol. I’ve rounded up a few cute ones I found on Amazon!

The time has come again! This will be my last year to throw a classroom Halloween party since my boys are getting older, so I’m trying to use up all the stuff I have from past parties. Which means… Black light glow party! The lights I’ve linked have been going on 3 years now and multiple people have borrowed them for other occasions, so they’re holding up! It’s already a chaotic and overstimulating holiday, so I just put out games and stations for the kids to rotate through amongst themselves. Or some choose to just hang out at their desks, eat snacks, and dance! We always have fun music playing, too! The neon solo cups are for stacking, and it’s always a hit! Soon I’ll post how we gave our boys a surprise gift to announce we were going to Disney World for spring break this past year. But for now, I think it would be fun to do the same for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! I used one of the reusable totes hanging at the checkout line at Home Goods/ TJ maxx/Ross. I saw a cute Disney Halloween one at Ross recently but I have linked similar ones. You could include a shirt, pajamas, things to do on the plane, and some other fun accessories. You can also print some fun tickets to surprise them with! If you are also going to Universal Studios, Target had some Halloween stuff for Harry Potter, Minions, and SpongeBob, too! On Instagram, I have included some pics of things I found wandering around the store that aren’t online right now, as well.

I recently gave up trying to swap out my wreaths for every season and holiday. I was running out of storage room for all my wreath boxes and it was becoming a hassle to get a ladder to organize the boxes in my garage. So, now I have one boxwood wreath and I change out the sashes as I want! Amazon has some inexpensive ones and you can get them for any holiday or event. Etsy also has some cute custom ones for your fave sports team or for a birthday party! I also made my own for an OKC Thunder theme 🏀 with a blue checked sash, basketball patch, orange ric rac trim, and some E6000 glue! The sky’s the limit for how many sashes you can buy! I just steam them and keep them on a hanger in the closet. You can also checkout Pinterest for some more cute ideas that people do, like layering colors or tying bows. We’re throwing my sister-in-law a bridal shower and she picked a Barbie theme. It can be hard to walk the line between child’s party, bachelorette party, and bridal. I put together an inspiration board for the vibe we’re going for. We are mostly doing different shades of pink, disco balls, and flowers.

School has already started back for most people but here are some other ideas I had for decorating our teachers’ lounge for back to school this year! I may use some ideas for next year. Our school theme this year was Wizard of Oz so we decorated the lounge with the same theme.

I posted a LoveShackFancy party board last year with some gift ideas, but there have been some cute collabs since then! Victoria’s Secret x PINK and Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders have both recently teamed up with LSF to create some cute looks!

We start back to school this week and I’m the PTO Hospitality chair this year. That involves decorating the school, organizing teacher lunches, and keeping the teacher lounge stocked. I’ve put together a little mockup of how you could easily put together a Wizard of Oz teacher lounge, our theme this year. Dollar Tree is a good place to get some baskets for snacks, too!

🏈 We’re just a couple weeks away from college game day starting and I’ve put together a gift guide for all the girls who live and breathe college football! Whether they’re tailgating in style, decorating their homes with team spirit, or just need some fun gear for game day, there’s something for every die-hard fan! I know you can find team apparel all over the place, so I tried to stick to more unique, fun items that would make good gifts.

Old Lindsay Lohan movies will always have a special place in my heart. I’d like to see the Freakier Friday movie, but nothing will compare to the 2003 Freaky Friday. I think it would make a fun party theme for a tween- whether you’re all buying tickets and going to see the new movie, or having a sleepover and watching the original. I even saw a “Freaky Fourty” party idea! I chose purple and green for the colors, but sometimes it looks like pink and green. It’s that time of year again… Back to school! I like to bring a small gift on Meet the Teacher night and in the past I’ve brought a treat from Crumbl or Nothing Bundt Cakes. I don’t have time to pick those up on the day-of this year and wanted to knock these out earlier. My landyards are from Bath & Body Works but not available anymore (I stocked up a few years ago 😆) but I’ve linked similar cute ones. I used Touchland spray with a matching silicone case and clipped it on. Then I made a gift tag and bow, but I linked good tag options from Etsy!

Every year, I put out a snack cart for our delivery drivers to say thanks! The amount of packages we get delivered in December is honestly embarrassing lol, and I’m sure the drivers are being overworked this time of year. I have a doorbell camera and they always say thank you and are extremely appreciative of it. I feel like just a little snack and drink can help make the shift more bearable. I got a plastic rolling cart because I’m using the one I normally use for something else this year. I wanted the cheapest one, and that’s definitely what this one is lol. There are better quality ones but this works fine. I did a Target pickup for everything else and printed a sign from Etsy! Super easy to put together. I Ieave it out all of December and just grab individual refills as I go to the store or am at the gas station or something.
