The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon
1
4 Stars; The magic system in this book is what drew me in (scriving). Another good thief FMC, found family, fantasy book that I need to reread.
Foundryside (The Founders Trilogy, #1) by Robert Jackson Bennett
4 Stars; This blends horror and fantasy together, but I still included it in this list. Follows people with strange powers after their father's disappearance. Make sure to look up trigger warnings.
The Library at Mount Char by Scott Hawkins
3
Its written as letters to Dracula from his bride, Constanta and how she broke the spell that Dracula had on her. A different take on first person and so beautiful, yet horrific.
A Dowry of Blood by S.T. Gibson
A great blend between western and fantasy that had me flipping through the pages at record speed. I loved how the fantasy elements are woven into the story, but still holding true to the western genre at its core.
