Jinja, Source of the Nile, has many great restaurants with lots of local food options as well as international fare. There are also a variety of things to see and do in the area. Here are some of my favorites!
Nice restaurant with a bit of an Ugandan spin on Chinese food! Lots of outdoor seating, definitely worth checking out.
