Hawaii family photography musts - gear, lenses, props!
I have been a photographer in Hawaii for YEARS and have photographed hundreds and hundreds of families. Photographing on the beach in Hawaii is a unique experience. Here are my all time favorite things I use in my business.
Props
Simple props to pull out in a pinch at your family photo sessions
You never know when a nice blanket will come in handy. Perfect for sitting poses, a game of Parachute, or providing cover for a quick outfit change, I never go to a shoot without one.
I always have a big pack of 'Make a Face' Sticker Sheets in my bag. Kids love these, and it's always good to have a non-candy goody option available.
A must-have for your gear bag and my #1 secret weapon as a family photographer! These are super fun for kids to look and laugh at, and they help keep the attention of even the wiggliest toddlers!
On windy days, I like to bring this with me to help with hair in faces. You never know when you may need one!
The cutest way to bring a backup memory card with you to a session.
One of my most favorite beach blankets. Light enough to carry or throw in your backpack. Easy to wash, and works with anything your clients are wearing!
Immediately impress your clients by having fashion tape on hand to help with any wardrobe emergencies!
Hands down essential if you are a photographer that works with kids.
When all else fails… lollipops! I always have these on hand. You just never know when you'll need a bribe. And even if all goes perfectly, its a fun surprise to give kids at the end of a photo session.
