This is a shorter read. East in one sitting. It's fun. Entertaining. The concept is interesting and frightening to picture. The adaptation could be better but I prefer it as a read!

The inspo for Hellraiser. If you like some really messed up themes and imagery. This is the book for you. It's a classic for a reason and why Pinhead is so terrifyingly popular.
The Hellbound Heart: A Novel by Clive Barker, Paperback
The adaptation of this book is part of the whole reason why I love horror. It's so soul sucking and just bothers you on a whole other level. The movie is good, but the book is better.
The Ruins by Scott Smith, Paperback
Post apocalyptic zombie story. This one does have a movie adaptation that I thoroughly enjoyed. It focuses on infected children that start off learning in school until an incident occurs. The ending will have you contemplating for a good while.

Disgusting. Shocking. Its whole point is just that. Extreme to the point where we start to cross boundaries of what is okay to involve in fiction for enjoyment.
I wouldn't say this is for enjoyment. This is gross. But if thats what you like. Hey, it...
