Here is a list of my favorite places to hike in the Midwest. So far, I've only hiked in Ohio and Michigan but hope to add Indiana soon.

Hocking Hills State Park
This is a part of the Hocking Hills park. You can walk to it from Old Mans Cave or drive a couple miles to the parking area.

East Fork State Park | Ohio Department of Natural Resources
A beautiful estate turned into a metropark. Trails meander through the property past a creek, woods, manorhouse, carriage house, and beautiful gardens.
Wildwood Preserve Metropark
Flat gravel paths and boardwalks. There are a lot of waterfowl and birds to see. You can rent a kayak and paddle through the marshes. No trees and since its right by Lake Erie it can get windy.
Howard Marsh Metropark
The boardwalk trail takes you through a beautiful marsh. There are tons of birds and other wildlife to see.
Maumee Bay State Park
