Romance
I'm a romance girlie through and through. It's what first got me into reading at the age of 14, and now fifteen years later it's still my go-to genre!
Favourite Liz Tomforde book hands down.
I'm a sucker for the single dad trope. Mix it with a sports romance and we've got a home run!
5/5⭐

Caught Up by Liz Tomforde
Been a few years since I've read this series but I still think about it.
A dark romance novel about a serial killer and the FBI agent on her case. 🤭
Check your triggers!
The Mindf*ck Series by S.T. Abby
When a one-night-stand leads to more.
A heartwarming, cute, and steamy romance.
Does have a pregnancy trope but it's very well done.
Honestly worth a read!
5/5⭐
Out on a Limb by Hannah Bonam-Young
I recommend this to everyone who needs a good cry.
This was one of the most heartbreaking romance books I've ever read. My bf (not a reader) has read it and it broke him.
If I must suffer, so should you xoxo. Enjoy 🙂
Bright Side by Kim Holden
An oldie but a goodie.
Not sure how much this holds up - I'm due a reread - but this book and series definitely changed my brain chemistry.
Should I have been reading it at the prime age of 14? Probably not. But it definitely has shaped some of my re...
Halfway to the Grave by Jeaniene Frost
Fantasy
There's something freeing about the ability to step into a completely different world with the turn of a page.
I remember being absolutely blown away by this book when I first read it 2 years ago.
For a 600+ book, I got through it in a flash!
5/5⭐
Great, original concept. Hoping the second book is as good.
The Will of the Many by James Islington
Need to recommend this as a duology because they're both just as good.
Be ready to have your heart ripped out (:
- Found Family
The Six of Crows Duology by Leigh Bardugo
Sci fi
I've never thought of myself as a sci-fi girlie, but in recent years, a big percentage of the sci fi books I *have* read, have been 5/5⭐
One of those books that I'd give anything to read for the first time again.
5/5 no notes.
Read it before the movie comes out!
Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir, Paperback
One of my favourite books of 2025. No other book has made me laugh as much as this one.
So glad I found this series!
Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman
Historical fiction
Love a fiction novel that can take me back to a certain historical time period. Bonus points if it's based on facts and I actually learn something new.
A heartbreaking rock and roll love story. Both the book and the tv series were incredible. Cried like a little bitch.
Daisy Jones and The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid
Memoirs
To this day, my favourite way of absorbing memoirs is through audiobooks - especially if they're narrated by the author.
The first memoir I've ever listened to.
Been 4 years and I still think about it. Sad and heartwrenching, but so important.
Check TWs.
Know My Name by Chanel Miller
An excellent memoir from Trevor. Never realised how much he went through. His dark humour shines through in his book - as always, would recommend the audiobook.
