I have 4 children and these are the books they reach for to read year after year during the Christmas season. I only pull out our Christmas books around Christmas time so these are special and the kids get excited to see them again every year.
This one is so cute because it has the flaps to open. My 7 and under boys like it best.
Clifford's Christmas Presents
This may be my kid’s favorite Christmas book. It seems to be the one they remember the most and are most excited about reading each December when I pull out the Christmas books!
Christmas Wombat
I have 4 boys, and they have all liked trucks, tractors and diggers, so this has been a good one to have in our family. I like that it is interactive and has flaps to open.
Construction Site on Christmas Night - Kids Book
This has been such a fun book. My oldest, who is a proficient reader, loves reading these out loud and asking everyone what they would rather do. It asks fun Christmas themed questions, such as ‘Would you rather get hit in the head by a present or wr...
Would You Rather? Christmas Edition Game
This is a sweet story about a cute little girl who wants to be one of Santa’s elves, and she travels in the snow and meets different animals along the way who help her. I love the scenery in this book.
The Christmas Wish: A Kids' Christmas Book
We all love this story. So sweet how the little mouse ends up sharing and giving the bear a Christmas even though the mouse is scared of the “big hungry bear.”
By Don Wood Merry Christmas Big Hungry Bear
This is such a cute story of how all the different trucks and tractors work together to decorate a Christmas tree. I love that it’s interactive with the flaps and my kids love to read it. Especially my younger boys.
Construction Site Merry & Bright: Christmas Lift-Flap
This is a classic and I’m sure you already have it in your collection of books, but if you don’t, all my boys love this one—ages 2-10.
How the Grinch Stole Christmas! Full Color
This is a popular children's story where the tiny superheroes (Mili, Geo, and Bot) help Santa fix his broken toy factory on Christmas Eve, using their math and problem-solving skills to repair the machine and save Christmas delivery. It's a fun book ... My kid’s favorite part is that several of the pages glow in the dark.
Team Umizoomi isn't a new hit, as it ended in 2015, but it remains popular through reruns on Nick Jr., streaming on Paramount+, and clips on Noggin.
Santa's Little Helpers (Team Umizoomi) Paperback
This has been well-used since my 10 year old was little and we still read it often now. I keep this one out and we read it year round. I bring it to church to help

The photography is gorgeous in this book and it helps my kids understand the true meaning of Christmas. It brings the Christmas story to life since the pictures are of real people. You will love this one!
The Nativity Story
We started a tradition with this book when all my my kids were little. My kids still love to participate in this (my oldest is now 10). This book comes with a wooden manger, straw and a ceramic baby Jesus. The kids love getting a piece of straw for d...
The Giving Manger: A Christmas Family Tradition
My young kids 5 and under love this book. It’s so fun for them to push Santa’s belly every time they hear the word “Santa.” Upon pushing Santa, it produces a squeaking sound.
Santa's Jolly Belly (Christmas Squeak Toy Book)
This is one of our most treasured traditions to help the focus of Christmas be centered on Jesus Christ. Each page of the book is linked with a scripture and an ornament to place on the tree representing something about Christ’s life. My boys love o...
