This bag holds all the items I consider to be my "bare essentials"
This case fits everything I need to keep on me, and it's thin enough to fit nicely in the back pocket of my bag.
I used this pattern to make myself a small pouch that fits most of my health & beauty must haves. I have this stuffed with some bandages, purell wipes, tweezers, nail clippers, hair ties, digestive releif tablets, and some tampons.
I keep a couple of these bags clipped to my bag, incase I end up picking a couple this up at the store unexpectedly.

When I say these are the ONLY bandages that I have purchased and used in the past few years, I am not at all exaggerating.
Sometimes your period may start unexpectedly, sometimes someone near by needs a tampon. Sometimes bloody noses happen.

You never know when you might have an unwanted hair on your chin, a splinter, etc.
I have other pill organizers that I use to sort out my pills each month (see my Chronic Illness Must Haves list), but I use this one to store the meds for the current day.
Always keep a mask on hand!
I keep one full of hand sanitizer and one full of hand lotion.
I do not keep a giant bottle of lotion in my bag. I actually use an empty PocketBac container to keep a bit of lotion with me.
Tools & Tech
Everyone should keep a knife on them, not as a weapon, but as a tool. A knife can be used to open packages, cut food, ect.
Keeping a set of reusable utensils helps me keep my use of single use platics to a minimum.
I love love LOVE this little camera. I can take a few pictures with it while out and about with friends or family and forget about it until later, instead of spending time fussing around on my phone taking pictures.
This charger does its job well, and takes up very little space in my bag. I even have a Popsocket magsafe sticker on the back so I don't lose my magsafe Popsocket and can still use it to hold my phone while it charges.
Misc.
I always try and keep at least one roll of mints on hand. You never know when you're going to need to freshen up your breath.
I almost always keep a granola bar of sorts in my bag. I try to rotate between a few different ones, and these are probably my favorite.
