I’ve been reading like crazy so far this year! I’ve loved snuggling up with a good book or playing an audiobook while I clean the house. Escaping to a different world makes living in this current one easier. Here’s everything I read in Jan. 2026!
My first read of 2026 and it did not disappoint! A beautiful love story that will have you questioning what you’d do in a similar, unexpected situation. 5 ⭐️
One True Loves|Paperback
Definitely *not* an escape, but incredibly educational. The author does a fantastic job of telling people’s stories and sharing just how this group’s involvement affects everyone in the family. 5 ⭐️
The Quiet Damage: QAnon and the Destruction of the American Family|Paperback
Not a bad book by any means, but a little different than what I was expecting. It’s more of a memoir from the author’s point of view than commentary on millennial experiences. However, it was very raw and relatable. 3.75 ⭐️
One in a Millennial: On Friendship, Feelings, Fangirls, and Fitting In|Paperback
I LOVED THIS BOOK! It wasn’t what I was expecting in the best ways. Once you get to part two, prepare to finish in one sitting because it’s sooo gripping. 5 ⭐️
The Mad Wife: A Novel|Paperback
A must read for reality tv fans! Incredibly educational and a deep dive into the history and evolution of the genre. 5 ⭐️
Cue the Sun!: The Invention of Reality TV|Paperback
The ending had me in tears. Such a beautiful story ❤️ 5 ⭐️
The Measure|Paperback
A story of sisterhood and complex family trauma. 4 ⭐️
The Deeper the Water the Uglier the Fish|Paperback
I flew through this! It started my thriller obsession 🤭 5 ⭐️
Just the Nicest Couple: A Novel|Paperback
This one was soooo creepy 😅😅 5 ⭐️
Hidden Pictures: A Novel|Paperback
I have mixed feelings on this one. Honestly, I found the two main characters to be a little insufferable. They jumped to conclusions quickly and made dumb choices. I did really like the ending though! 3 ⭐️
The Crash|Paperback
Definitely a plot twist in this one! 4 ⭐️
The Tenant|Paperback
A truly beautiful story that emphasizes just how much work marriage takes. 4.5 ⭐️
After I Do|Paperback
Can you tell I’ve fallen down the Freida McFadden rabbit hole? 🤣 I really liked the characterization in this one. 4 ⭐️
