Hotel
Located near Charlottenburg Palace and close to bus and metro options! The hotel room was very comfortable and overall I had a great stay.
The Hoxton, Charlottenburg
Restaurants
Beautiful rooftop restaurant in the Bundestag building! Great way to have breakfast and get some history in. You MUST make reservations and you’ll need your passport to get into the building.
Kaefer - Dachgarten Restaurant
Excellent restaurant for traditional German cuisine.
Zur Letzten Instanz
A tiny Ghanaian restaurant in Berlin! Excellent food, particularly if you’re craving authentic West African cuisine.
Didi Pa - West African Kitchen
Excellent breakfast restaurant offering American and Middle Eastern-style options! Super large portion sizes.
Benedict
An aesthetic restaurant/café!
House of Small Wonder
Places to visit
One of my favourite museums in the world! Such thought-provoking and discussion-worthy art pieces! It is a must-visit when in Berlin.
Urban Nation
Such a beautiful palace! All the charm of Versailles without the crowds 😍
Charlottenburg Palace
Definitely worth the visit! Lots of history and views of Berlin! The Käfer restaurant is in this building.
Bundestag
This was my favourite museum on Museum Island! So much Renaissance artwork and stunning marble pieces.
Bode Museum
It’s a lovely museum (on Museum Island), but not too many interesting things to see in my opinion (especially if you’re coming from Bode Museum). The room with all the Greek gods and views of the neighboring buildings makes it worth the visit!
Altes Museum
The Pergamon museum (on Museum Island) was closed when I visited so I visited the panorama! My favourite room is the one pictured where you get an intricate 360 view of what it was like living in a Greek town.
Pergamon Museum: The Panorama
A historical site in Berlin marking the Cold War
Checkpoint Charlie
This museum (on Museum Island) is fantastic if you enjoy Egyptian history and Byzantine artifacts - not much else is featured. While they do have the bust of Nefertiti, no photos are allowed.
Neues Museum
Berlin’s museum of modern art
Berlinische Galerie Museum of Modern Art
I walked by on my way from the Parliament building to Museum Island! Definitely worth visiting.
