when i started nursing school i was really confused on what to get and what i would exactly need. i created this list as a way to help others gather things they would definitely utilize during nursing school :)

classes!
honestly these have been my favorite notebooks so far! the five-star are ok but the paper on these ones are thicker and far smoother. also color coding your classes will help with not mixing up which book belongs with which class
Staples 1-Subject Notebooks, College Ruled, 6/Pack
my favorite pensss! these dry so fast and they’re so amazingly smooth! i recommend these to anyone looking for a good reliable pen
Zebra Sarasa Mark On Gel Pen - 0.5 mm - Black
i cannot explain enough how important flash cards are during nursing school. even if your instructor doesn’t require flashcards, this is a must! whether for meds, diseases, or anatomy, these come in handy
Staples 3" x 5" Index Cards, Blank, White, 500/Pack (TR51010)
clinicals!
having a good stethoscope is essential for nursing school! this is my favorite so far, haven’t tried anything better :)
3M Littmann Cardiology IV Diagnostic Stethoscope
this blood pressure cuff has lasted me throughout school! it’s durable and easy to carry around
MDF Calibra Aneroid Premium Sphygmomanometer
perfect pulse oximeter. haven’t run into any problems and works as intended
Innovo iP900BP-B Fingertip Pulse Oximeter
something to add a little color to our equipment! super cute and light works perfectly for inspection
3 Pack Pen Lights for Nurses
there’s a ton of cases out there but this one is perfect to carry around everything that you will need during clinicals!
Stethoscope Case-Pink
this isn’t REALLY an essential but i love these so much! a lot of other charms fall off or are super bulky, but these are too perfect! the adjustable sizing allows the best fit for your stethoscope
Bling Rhinestone Stethoscope Charms Set for nurses
this is my favorite thermometer! other classmates have this and we have had no issues! it’s ideal when denver multiple patients during clinicals as it requires no skin contact.
